Nebraska Reperatory Theatre announces summer season

The Nebraska Repertory Theatre, the professional theatre at UNL, presents three plays, "Humble Boy" by Charlotte Jones, "Mauritius" by Theresa Rebeck, and "Act a Lady" by Jordan Harrison, in rotating repertory and two one-night-only performances as part of its Destinations series.

Individual tickets for performances are $20, $18 faculty/staff and senior citizens, and $10 students with ID. Season Passes are $50, $45 faculty/staff and senior citizens, and $30 students and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute members. Tickets and passes are available at http://www.unl.edu/rep or from the Lied Center Ticket Office, 301 N. 12th St., Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and one hour prior to the performance in the Temple Theatre Lobby, or by telephone at 472-4747 or 800-432-3231. Reservations for performances are strongly recommended.

Admission for the Destinations series is $7, or free to season pass holders. Reservations will not be taken for Destinations performances.

The Nebraska Repertory Theatre is the professional Actors' Equity Association affiliated wing of the
Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film, Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts.

HUMBLE BOY

July 7, 8, 9, 10, 16, 17, 28 at 7:30 p.m. and Aug. 8 at 2 p.m. Studio Theatre
Felix Humble, an astrophysicist, returns home to escape the gravitational pull of his mother in this comedy about broken vows and the joys of bee-keeping. Felix Humble is played by Ryan Kathman. Other cast members are Regina Webster and Sasha Dobson and Equity members Virginia Smith as Felix's mother, Dale Westgaard and George Hansen. The production is directed by Geoffrey Tangeman. Lighting Design is by Laurel Shoemaker, Costume Design by Janice Stauffer, Scenic Design by Ahna Packard, Sound Design by Mike Smith, the Stage Manager is Elissa Shortridge, and the Assistant Stage Manager is Sarah Buse.

MAURITIUS

Two tiny scraps of paper. Are they rare and priceless stamps from Mauritius? Two sisters wrangle with a trio of shady philatelists in this darkly funny thriller.
Cast members are Ashley Andersen, Jeff Tinnean and Sasha Dobson, and Equity members Dale Westgaard and George Hansen. The production is directed by D. Scott Glasser. Lighting is by Dan Stratman, Costumes by Jeanne Marlette, Scenic Design by Darin Himmerich, Sound Design by Mike Smith, the Stage Manager is Andrew Donnelly and the Assistant Stage Manager is Jessica Wergin.

ACT A LADY

1927, Wattleburg. The Elks hire the eccentric Zina to mastermind a spectacle. More than just an exuberant romp, ACT A LADY wears its heart on its sleeve. Cast members are Ian Borden, Jeff Tinnean, Trent Stork, Regina Webster, Lacey Hannan and Equity member Virginia Smith as the eccentric Zina. The production is directed by Doug Finlayson, Lighting is by Dan Stratman, Costumes by Janice Stauffer, Scenic Design by Ahna Packard, Sound Design by Mike Smith, the Stage Manager is Brad Buffum, and the Assistant Stage Manager is Andrew Donnelly.
