The School of Music hosts the Combined Choir Concert, pairing UNL and Iowa State ensembles, 7 p.m., Feb. 24 at First-Plymouth Congregational Church, 2000 D St. The performance is free and open to the public.
Ensembles performing are UNL's University Singers and the Iowa State Singers.
The University Singers is conducted by Peter Eklund, professor of music.
The 69-voice Iowa State Singers ensemble is conducted by James Rodde, director of choral activities at Iowa State.
Rodde and Eklund were classmates at the University of Iowa, where they both earned master and doctoral degrees in choral conducting and pedagogy.
