Content Convergence Conference is today

University Communications is offering a “Content Convergence Conference” from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center, room 212 (Unity Room). The session will provide information on a variety of “big picture” communications initiatives and events. Topics for the “Planning to Be a Part of the Big Picture” session include:

— May commencement in Memorial Stadium. Annette Wetzel, director of events and the Van Brunt Visitors Center, and Jennifer Verhein, director of the Office of the Registrar, will discuss commencement plans and how the UNL community can assist with the event.

— University Communications is leading an effort to shoot new photos that can be in various ways. Project leaders are in the process of identifying scenes, locations and students to include.

— Lessons learned during recent campus cancellations due to inclement weather.

— Examination of top communications recommendations for colleges and departments and what types of stories are desired to support recruitment. This presentation will include examples of the stories and allow time to share ideas.

— One-on-one tutorials on how to use UNL’s online calendar or Announce system.

The session is free and open to faculty and staff and will be live-streamed on the Communicators website: http://communicators.unl.edu/
