The Nebraska Athletic Marketing department is holding national anthem auditions for individual singers, groups, and instrumental ensembles, 6 to 8 p.m., Aug. 6 and 9 to 11 a.m., Aug. 7 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
Individuals or groups interested in trying out for a chance to perform the national anthem at Husker sporting events must pre-register by contacting Ethan Rowley at erowley@huskers.com or (402) 472-4613 by 5 p.m. Aug. 4. Time slots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Information needed for pre-registration will include the singer or group name; age of individual singer (if under 18); e-mail address; daytime phone number; cell phone number; and preferred tryout date. More details, including the assigned tryout date and time, will be provided after registration with the Nebraska Athletic Department.
Each audition is limited to a two minute maximum. Selected performers will have a chance to perform the national anthem at a variety of Husker athletic sporting events.
