Ross hosts live broadcast of Met Opera's 'Die Walkure'

The Mary Riepma Ross Theater will host a live broadcast of Wagner's "Die Walkure" at 11 a.m., May 14. An encore performance will be at 1 p.m., May 15. The performances are part of "The Met: Live in HD," a series that features live broadcasts from New York City's Metropolitan Opera House.

The opera is the final installment in the 2010-2011 season of "The Met: Live in HD" series. A stellar cast comes together for this second installment of Robert Lepage’s new production of the Ring cycle, conducted by James Levine. Bryn Terfel is Wotan, lord of the Gods. Deborah Voigt adds the part of Brünnhilde to her extensive Wagnerian repertoire at the Met. Jonas Kaufmann and Eva-Maria Westbroek star as the twins, Siegmund and Sieglinde and Stephanie Blythe is Fricka.
