The Office of Academic Success and Intercultural Services will host the "Who Runs the Yard" stroll competition at 5:30 p.m., Aug. 26 on the Nebraska Union Plaza.

Strolling is a tradition that traces back to the early 1900s to African American Greek organizations such as the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority (historically the first Black Greek sorority). Strolling competitions feature members of a Greek organization performing choreographed dance moves.

"Who Runs the Yard" will feature members of the National Pan-Hellenic Council and the Multicultural Greek Council.

The event opens at 5:30 p.m., with the stroll competition starting at 6 p.m. The competition is free and open to the public.
