There are many forms of transportation when traveling to and from campus. These include parking garages, parking lots/meters, and taking the bus. For shorter distances, you can walk, ride a bike, scooter, or skateboard. Depending on where you live, you can decide which type is most convenient for you!

Parking Garages
• Will be the most expensive
• Check your college/university's transportation services website for pricing
• Make sure you have required documents when buying a parking pass
• Choose a garage that is suitable to your class locations
• Can be a one-time purchase or an annual purchase (able to park here for rest of the year)

Parking Lots
• Purchase a parking permit for parking lots on campus
• Check college/university website for pricing
• Permit options for commuter or resident students
Parking Meters
• Single-purchase parking meters around campus
• Pay meters with quarters
• Can download parking app if available for your campus (Ex: Passport app for UNL)
• Parking app allows you to pay via phone
• Different meters have different time limits

Taking the Bus
• Buy a bus pass if it's required
• Check bus routes that go to and from your campus (Ex: Bus 24 & 25 are for UNL)
• Commuter students might have to park car near bus stop to take the bus (Ex: 23rd & U St for UNL)
• Can download apps to track bus distance from you (Ex: Google Maps or BusLNK)

Short Distances
• Walk to your classes
• Rent a scooter or bike or use your own
• Skateboarding, longboarding, or other options
