We are thrilled to announce that Joe Morrison, our former Education Specialist, became our Interim Assistant Director. We also welcomed Angela Gonzalez, a former Middle School Summer Program teacher and ETS Club Mentor at Dawes, as our new Education Specialist at North Star, Goodrich, and Dawes.
Joe and Angela have not only worked together as the Education Specialist and Student Mentor at Dawes, they have also collaborated with their work on the University of Nebraska Inter-tribal Exchange, UNITE.
Moving from Education Specialist to Interim Assistant Director of ETS has been a positive experience. Shifting to work behind the scenes, where I focus on budgeting, building reports, and do what I can to provide support for the ETS staff and scholars. Even though my new role keeps me in my office, I like to do the occasional ETS Club visit.

"I am thankful and excited to be working professionally for TRIO. I am looking forward to advocating, serving, and supporting our high school and middle school students that are pursuing their passions past graduation. I am a recent graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I obtained my B.S in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a minor in Ethnic Studies. During my time at UNL, I was involved in various culturally based organizations on campus, which led me to find my passion in advocating and supporting students. In my undergraduate career, I worked for TRIO SSS and ETS as a student staff and mentor. As a TRIO alum, I have been able to experience first-hand all the great support and opportunities that these programs have to offer!"
