Learn how to promote a collaborative learning environment using iPads. Guy Trainin, associate professor, Teaching, Learning & Teacher Education will share his experiences, February 13, 2:00 p.m - 3:00 p.m. in the Jackie Gaughan Center.

Trainin will will present apps, websites, sample assignments and activities that promote deeper learning. He will also share the ways to incorporate video into classes to simplify work and improve the student experience.

The presentation is part of the iPad Roundtable series, sponsored by Information Technology Services.

Guy Trainin is the project director for the annual Tech Edge Conference, a partnership between Nebraska school districts, UNL and Concordia University. Tech Edge is designed to equip teachers to effectively use new technologies to prepare the students of tomorrow. Trainin conducts research on reading acquisition, teacher education, and the integration of technology and arts in the classroom. He also currently the Director of the Kit and Dick Schmoker Reading Center.
