UNL, Penn State present Summer iPad Roundtables

UNL and Penn State will jointly offer iPad learning sessions for Summer. UNL will demonstrate the use of FREE iPad applications for instruction on June 16, at 10:00 a.m. Learn how to easily capture and record lessons that can be shared with others while recording your voice and drawing on a whiteboard or image. The session will also demonstrate iAnnotate to read, markup, grade, and share files.

Representatives from Penn State will demo Doceri on August 21 at 12:00 p.m. Group viewing followed by a discussion will be available for UNL in the City Union. Doceri is an interactive whiteboard and remote desktop control software that provides a hands-free connection between an iPad and podium machine. This session covers the presentation and annotation functionalities of the Doceri App for the iPad. Participants will learn how to set up the iPad-computer connection, present using the iPad as a remote desktop control, and utilize Doceri’s annotation tools, as well as explore how Doceri is being used in academic settings.
Course objectives include:
• Making the computer to iPad connection
• Explore Doceri’s annotation and presentation functionalities
• Discuss Doceri’s academic applications
