We thank B. Keith and Norma Heuermann, for the funds to establish the Heuermann UNL Plant Science Fellowship in 2020. The fellowship recognizes doctoral program students for excellence in plant science research and their potential for accomplishments in the field.

Fernanda Krupek, a 2021 fellowship recipient, is studying cropping systems and soil health management in the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture and is advised by Andrea Basche, an assistant professor in agronomy and horticulture.
