Service Award Celebration honors 26 department employees

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln honored more than 970 employees for their contributions to the university Sept. 6 at the Coliseum. Twenty-six Department of Agronomy and Horticulture employees received Employee Service Awards.

The event was part of a celebratory day that featured UNL Chancellor Rodney D. Bennett, Rick Alloway, associate professor of broadcasting in the College of Journalism and Mass Communication, who served as emcee, and a lunch.

Held annually, the ceremony honors Huskers who have reached five-year milestones in their employment.

The Department of Agronomy and Horticulture’s David Lamb, professor of practice, and Greg Teichmeier, research manager, were honored for 40 years. See the complete list of department honorees here.
