Meet Luzviminda Ann Sazon, a graduate student in Nebraska Agronomy and Horticulture at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from the Philippines.

"My favorite experience with my work has been talking to farmers and knowing their openness to doing research and their excitement with the results we had at the end of the cropping year," said Sazon.

Hometown: Bay, Laguna, Philippines

Major: I am a graduate student at the University of Nebraska- Lincoln with a major in Agronomy, working on predicting the response of soybean to nitrogen application in the Cropping Systems Lab of Dr. Nicolas Cafaro La Menza.

Why did you decide to come to the West Central Research, Extension and Education Center? I decided to come to the West Central Research, Extension and Education Center (WCREEC) to become involved in the interesting research of the Cropping Systems Lab and gain knowledge and experience with the lab’s variety of experiments. Moving to this side of Nebraska exposed me to the farming practices here, which is slightly different from eastern Nebraska.
