The next Agronomy and Horticulture seminar is Feb. 20
Jinliang Yang, associate professor and Charles O. Gardner Professorship of Agronomy in the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, will present “Designing Nitrogen-Use Efficient Maize Using a Population Genomics Approach,” on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 11 a.m. CST in Keim Hall 150 or streamed live via Zoom at https://go.unl.edu/seminars.
Yang will focus on bridging the gap between genotypes and phenotypes. He will discuss how his group is keen to integrate various large-scale biological data such as phenomics, genomics, transcriptomics, methylomics datasets and functional annotations to boost the power of Genome-Wide Association Study (GWAS) and Genomic Selection (GS).
