The next Agronomy and Horticulture seminar is Oct. 9

Jeff Bradshaw, Professor of Entomology and Director of Plant Health, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will present “Beneficial Bug Bale Project: An Eloquent Strategy for Managing a 100-year Pest of Wheat,” on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 11 a.m. CDT in Keim Hall 150 or streamed live via Zoom at https://go.unl.edu/seminars.

This presentation will explore how successful the release of braconid parasitoids has been in managing wheat stem sawfly populations. The wheat stem sawfly, Cephus cinctus, has been a major pest of wheat in North America for over 100 years.
