Engineering Division is looking for Recent Graduate:
Civil Engineers
Job Description:
• Performs inspections, risk assessments, and assists in the implementation of repairs and modifications to dams and levees within the Omaha District. Performs tasks associated with geotechnical design and implementation, including seepage and stability analysis, development of plan sets and specifications using CADD software, and construction oversight.
Qualification Requirements:
• GS-05: To be eligible for a Recent Graduate position you must have completed a qualifying degree from a qualifying educational institution within the past two years.
• GS-07: To qualify you must also meet one of the following: 1) cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, 2) top one third class standing, or 3) membership to an honor society, or 4) one year of specialized experience related to Civil Engineering typical of work performed at the next lower grade in the federal service.
• GS-09: To qualify you must also meet one of the following: 1) completion of two academic years of directly related graduate level education, or 2) completion of a related master’s degree or equivalent graduate degree, or 3) one year of specialized experience related to Civil Engineering typical of work performed at the next lower grade in the federal service.
