Job Description:
• Gain technical experience by assisting senior engineers with dam and levee inspections, risk assessments, repairs, and modifications.
To be eligible for Student Engineer Internship positions you must meet the following requirements:
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited school seeking a related degree, and
• Must be in and maintain good academic standing, and
• To qualify for GS-03 grade: Students must have completed 1 full academic year of post-high school study by May 2020
• To qualify for GS-04 grade: Students must have completed 2 full academic years of post-high school study by May 2020.

• Students must submit both a resume and a copy of current transcripts to be considered.
• Title: Student Trainee (Engineering), GS-0899-03/04
• This is a part-time term (13 month) internship which may be extended up to 4 years.
• Work schedule may flex extending to full-time during seasonal school breaks.
• Starting hourly rates range from $13.40 to $15.10 per hour depending grade.
• Location: Omaha, Nebraska.
• Students may be non-competitively promoted to next grade when all requirements are met.
• Upon graduation, position MAY be converted to a permanent position.
• Permanent position has non-competitive promotion potential to GS-11.
