Rafael will share his personal experience transitioning from college to industry. Rafael is a fluent Spanish speaker working as a construction engineer in Nebraska and Iowa. He was born in Mexico and raised in Papillion,
NE. He enjoys being a resource to others as he had many mentors shape his journey as a young engineer. Growing up in a predominantly white world and working in a predominantly white male field, Rafael is focusing his career to help minority students interested in pursuing an engineering degree by providing job shadows, monthly check ins, resume, reviews and proofreading scholarship essays.
