Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering

Description:
Carroll College, a Catholic liberal arts college located in Helena, Montana invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in civil engineering. Applicants must have a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level in a small college environment and must be qualified to teach all levels of undergraduate engineering courses, specifically general civil engineering courses.
The Civil Engineering Program is ABET accredited and has active Engineers Without Borders and ASCE student chapters.

Required qualifications are:
• a master’s degree in engineering and
• the ability to obtain a Professional Engineering license within four years of hire.

Preferred qualifications include:
• a doctoral degree in engineering,
• a current Professional Engineering license and/or extensive professional experience, and
• the ability to teach civil engineering courses in water resources and/or transportation and geotechnical engineering.

In addition, the successful candidate shall have the ability to organize and conduct engineering and/or science laboratories in one or more of the indicated specialties. Applicants are required to have the ability to support the Mission of the College. This position is scheduled to start in August 2023.
