Justice in Data - Online Bootcamp

The bootcamp will be held through Microsoft Teams during the weeks of May 20th-31st and will be FREE for all participants.

Preparing undergraduate researchers for success. Learn data science skills tailored for water and energy research!

The bootcamp teaches the basics of Python programming (analytics and visualization), FAIR data principles, and machine learning within a justice in data theme. The goal is to teach undergraduate students how to find, access, and work with data such that their data can be reused by other researchers. Applicants will ideally have a summer research experience lined up or will express a genuine interest in a research-based graduate degree, though it is not required.

Students will have the opportunity to participate in a mentoring relationship over the summer, ending with an online research symposium. All students affiliated with US universities who complete the program will earn a Justice in Data Fellowship award of at least $400.
