The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Stanford University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the junior level (Assistant Professor). We seek applicants in support of the department's vision of creating solutions for cities, communities, and nature to thrive who are working at the frontiers of Environmental Engineering, broadly defined. While we give highest priority to the overall originality and promise of the candidate's work, particular areas of interest in this search include resource recovery engineering, hydrology and water resources design, mitigating exposure to chemical contaminants, and air and water quality engineering, among others.
Applications should include a resume, brief statements of research and teaching interests (3-5 pages total for both combined), and the names and e-mail addresses of 3-5 references. We will request letters of recommendation after candidates have been short-listed.
