Title: ADVANCED ANALYSIS OF HETEROGENEOUS MATERIALS WITH MULTISCALE MODELING TECHNIQUES

Abstract:
Material manufacturers and OEM’s are gradually increasing their adoption of advanced materials to solve engineering problems. However, the time and cost associated with designing advanced materials is substantially high given the
additional degrees of freedom and requirements. Physical testing is one of the major reasons for the high cost associated with designing of advanced materials. For that reason, companies are searching for accurate simulation solutions that can minimize the costs associated with physical testing. Given that advanced materials are composed of a mix of different materials bonded together, one must account for those details in order to optimize the material performance for each specific design. In this presentation, we will provide an overview of the benefits of multiscale techniques for different applications and materials.
