The NCSEA Foundation is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2025 Diversity in Structural Engineering Scholarship Program.
Submission Deadline: Sunday, February 16, 2025
NCSEA Diversity in Structural Engineering Scholarship Eligibility:
-Students historically underrecognized in structural engineering (including but not limited to: Black/African Americans, Native/Indigenous Americans, Hispanic/Latino, and other people of color, those with disabilities, veterans, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community).
-Any currently enrolled junior college, undergraduate, or graduate-level student who will be registered in the fall term of the year of award and has a focused career interest in structural engineering (to be defined in the personal statement) and/or is actively pursuing a structural engineering degree at an accredited institution in the United States.
-Scholarships will be awarded only to those students who will employ them to continue their formal undergraduate or graduate education at a recognized educational institution.
-Previous holders of these scholarships are eligible to apply in any succeeding competition for these awards provided the other requirements of eligibility are satisfied.
-NCSEA membership and/or involvement is not required to apply.
Awards:
-The NCSEA Foundation plans to award more than $50,000 this year.
-The recipient(s) will be notified of selection in April 2025.
-Award funds will be sent via check to the address provided on the scholarship application within 90 days of award notification.
-Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the annual NCSEA Structural Engineering Summit as well as receive complimentary registration and travel stipends.
