
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Clarkson University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in environmental engineering. While individuals qualified for appointment as full professor are of particular interest, outstanding mid-career candidates with a record of research excellence and leadership potential are also strongly encouraged to apply.
The anticipated start date is August 2026. For full consideration, applications should be received by January 15, 2026.
We seek exceptional candidates whose scholarship and teaching strengthen the core areas of Environmental Engineering within the Department. The individual hired will be expected to sustain a nationally recognized, externally funded research program that complements existing research strengths of the University.
Applicants with expertise in any of the following broad or emerging areas are encouraged to apply:
• air quality, human exposure, and air pollution control technology development,
• atmospheric sciences and engineering,
• emerging chemical and biological pollutant detection, fate and transport, and removal technology development,
• environmental systems / ecosystems modeling and technology impact assessment,
• resource recovery and circular economy technology development,
• synthesis and characterization of advanced materials and value-added chemicals,
• water quality, human exposure, and water pollution control technology development.
