----Graduate Travel Awards----

-College of Engineering – Graduate Student Conference Travel Grant Application
Due date for next application period: November 15th
The College of Engineering Graduate Student Conference Travel Grant (GSCTG) program supports the participation of graduate students in the College to present technical posters or presentations as first-authors at scientific conferences, on research conducted as a UNL engineering graduate student. The gran provides $500 to be applied toward the student’s travel expenses.

-Office of Graduate Studies – Graduate Travel Award
Review is ongoing
The Graduate Student Travel Award will provide support for the student travel to present at professional conferences as well as student travel for work directly related to dissertation/thesis projects. The award will assist advanced Nebraska graduate studetns in sharing their scholarly and creative work beyond our state lines.

-ASUN – GSA Graduate Travel
Hosted by Graduate Travel Awards Program GSA Committee
Due date for next application period: November 30th
Undergrad and graduate students who are presenting original work at an academic conference, or who are performing in an artistic competition or showcase, are eligible to apply for a GTAP grant for funding to help cover travel costs to said conferences during the Spring period (January 1 – April 30).
Applications are currently open on NUgrant. The GTAP Committee will also be accepting applications for peer and faculty reviewers for the this upcoming application cycle.

----Special Projects----

-ASUN – GSA Special Project Grants
Hosted by Professional Development GSA Committee
Due date for next application cycle: November 30th
The ASUN-GSA Special Projects Grants Program (SPGP) allocates funds from the GSA budget for activities, events, or projects organized by and benefitting graduate students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Applications can request up to $1000 for projects that will be run in the Spring/Early Summer period (January 1 – June 30).

----Fellowships within UNL’s Office of Graduate Studies----

-The Presidential Fellowship
Awarded to advanced doctoral of MFA students. The fellowship is $24,000. This award also includes tuition, fees, and the University’s portion of the student health insurance for one academic year. Eligible students must be scheduled to graduate no later than August 2019. For more information please contact Caroline Knuth (caroline.knuth@unl.edu) in the Office of Graduate Studies.

-The Fling Fellowship
Awarded to advanced masters or doctoral students. Masters students must be within one year of graduation and doctoral students must be within two years of graduation. The fellowship is $20,000. This award also includes tuition, fees, and the University’s portion of the student health insurance for one academic year. -The Dean’s Fellowship
Awarded to advanced masters or doctoral students. This fellowship is $5,000. For more information please contact Caroline Knuth (caroline.knuth@unl.edu) in the Office of Graduate Studies.

-SMART Scholarship – Due December, 2018
The Science, Mathematics And Research for Transformation (SMART) scholarship for Service Program was established by the Department of Defense (DoD) to support undergraduate and graduate students pursuing technical degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines. -2019 Ford Foundation Fellowship Program – Due December 6, 2019, but view website for other due dates
