Course Announcement: CHME 482/882-001

Message from Dr. Shudipto Konika Dishari
Semester: Fall 2019
This course will be a nice combination of theories related to polymer, different properties of polymers and exciting applications of polymer based materials (including nanomaterials). You will get to know how in practical life, polymer designs are driven by the need of real applications (e.g. energy, biomedical and others). I will invite a few faculties across the campus who will share their exciting research related to different aspects of polymer. This course also has a small module on science communication that I will lead. In another class, I will invite people from UNL CAREER service who will talk to students about the potential career paths where the knowledge on polymers, nanomaterials, relevant chemistry and engineering will be helpful.

The course has certain requirements in terms of completion of few courses (Chem 262, 264), but you can discuss with me to check if you are a fit. If you have trouble in registering for the course, feel free to contact me or Abigail Jameson (email: ajameson4@unl.edu). We can get you the code to register.

Best regards,
Shudipto
