If you have a current campus parking permit and plan to return for classes on campus next semester – you do not need to take additional steps for parking. There are no savings options for returning the permit while you are away between semesters.
NOT RETURNING TO CAMPUS:
RETURN YOUR PARKING PERMIT
If you are graduating or leaving the University, your current valid parking permit can be returned for the set refund.
The amount of the refund is designated in Parking and Transit Services rules, detailed at https://parking.unl.edu/student-parking-permit-purchase-guide
RETURN PERMIT BY MAIL
To request a refund, mail the actual permit to:
• Parking and Transit Services, 625 Stadium Drive, Suite A, Lincoln, NE 68588-0161.
• Permit must be received by January 25, 2021.
RETURN IN PERSON
• Beginning November 20, permits can be returned to Parking and Transit Services at the Stadium Garage bus/stair/elevator lobby. Enter in the east door, deposit the permit in the assigned bin, and exit through the south door. This area will be available from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays until November 25.
REFUND PROCESSING
If the entire payment was made in the fall semester with a consolidated student bill, a credit will be posted to the consolidated account. If half payment was made in the fall semester with a consolidated student bill, the second half payment in the spring semester will be canceled. If payment was made with cash or credit/debit card, a check for the refund amount will be mailed within six weeks. A refund may be issued to the credit card used for the purchase if that card company allows.
If you have questions, call Parking and Transit Services, 402-472-1800.
