Parking permits offer flexible options

DSC00109.JPG

Vehicles parked in designated campus areas, including surface lots and parking garages, must display a valid permit.

Many faculty and staff currently have shifting on-campus work needs. Parking and Transit Services offers parking permit options, including regular annual and nine-month permits, occasional permits and temporary permits. All permits are ordered online.

Be aware that parking enforcement is in operation and citations will be issued for violations.
If you have questions, call Parking and Transit Services at 402-472-1800.

STANDARD PARKING PERMITS
Permits allow faculty and staff to select surface or garage parking that meets their campus location needs. These permits are in effect for the selected purchase period and cost is prorated accordingly.
• Permit options are detailed at https://parking.unl.edu/faculty-parking-options
• Purchase permit online at https://parking.unl.edu/faculty-parking-permit-purchase-guide
• Your decal or hang tag permit will be mailed to the address provided during the purchase process.

An email confirming the permit purchase will be sent to you. A link to a printable temporary permit is included in this email. Print and display this permit on the front dashboard of your vehicle until your regular permit arrives in the mail.

OCCASIONAL SINGLE DAY PERMIT SET
Occasional Parking Permit packets for Area A provide access to ten single parking days, with a date selection capability. The permit is valid when the current date (one month, one day and one year) is exposed by removing the metallic covering. The permit is then displayed in your vehicle. The packet of daily parking permits expires on the last calendar date listed on the permit. Order these permits online and they will be mailed to you.

Effective dates are selected during purchase. The temporary permit is ordered online. It is not mailed, but must be printed and placed on the front dashboard of your vehicle.
