Student campus parking permits are available for purchase online.
A parking permit is required for any vehicle parked in designated areas of the campus. Quantities are limited, so purchase in advance.

Parking permits for students who live on campus coordinate with housing choices:
• East Campus residents select E permits.
• Residents who live in a City Campus residence hall, fraternity or sorority can select the appropriate R01, R02, 14R, 18R or 19R permit.
• Commuters who live off-campus can select Area C, D01, D02, 14C, 17C, 19C or SGC permits. Commuter permits include a new option: D03. This a reserved surface lot permit located in central City Campus.

Student nine-month parking permits take effect August 15.
With the new License Plate Recognition System, parking permits are virtual. Vehicle license plates serve as permit identification.

To order a parking permit, students register their vehicles online and pay appropriate permit fees. The vehicle is then eligible to park in designated campus areas.

ORDER YOUR PERMIT ONLINE.
• Permit options are detailed at https://parking.unl.edu/student-parking-options.
• Make permit purchase online at https://parking.unl.edu/student-parking-permit-purchase-guide
• Verify and update vehicle and license information during the purchase process. Accurate license information serves as the actual permit.
• License information must be entered as continuous numbers and letters, no spaces or dashes.

R01 and R02 resident permit holders will receive Permit Event Stickers at their campus mail addresses. The Permit Event Sticker verifies License Plate Recognition System participation and MUST be displayed for parking during major campus events, including home football games.

A garage hang tag accompanies each garage parking permit. Garage permit hang tags contain RFID with radio frequency signals to operate gate readers. Each tag is valid only in the assigned garage. Hang tags must be picked up at the Parking and Transit Services office, 625 Stadium Drive, Suite A.
