Football game day changes campus parking

DSC00051.JPG

Campus parking rules change for football game days.
No vehicles are allowed in designated campus parking lots and garages beginning at 10 p.m. the night before a home game.
Vehicles parked in violation of campus rules can be ticketed and towed.

Students living on-campus with resident parking permits can park only in their regularly assigned surface lots or garages on home football days.
Residents with surface lot permits received a Permit Event Sticker through campus mail. The Event Sticker must be displayed to park during home football games. It is linked to the license plate permit and verifies a valid permit. Resident permits for garages must display the hangtag.

Students living off-campus cannot park in regularly assigned permit parking areas on home football days.

Vehicles with non-resident student Permit Event Stickers may park in these designated campus areas on game days:
• Surface lots at 16th and X Streets (east side of 16th Street near the Boathouse) and 1700 Y Street.
• Perimeter lot at 15th and Court Streets.
• Devaney Sports Center lots at 16th and Court Streets.

NEW THIS YEAR: PERMIT EVENT STICKERS
With the campus License Plate Recognition System, the vehicle license plate serves as the parking permit identification. For students with a non-resident surface lot permit, a Permit Event Sticker is required for Husker football games. Garage non-resident permit holders must display the hangtag.

The sticker does NOT provide expanded campus parking during Husker football games. Game day parking remains limited to designated areas. For details, check UNL Parking Permit Holder Parking https://parking.unl.edu/athletic-events-parking#fb-faculty

The Permit Event Stickers are available at no additional cost to permit holders. To get a sticker this week, permit holders can go to the Parking and Transit Services office, 625 Stadium Drive, Suite A.
