A garage hang tag accompanies each garage parking permit. Garage permit hang tags contain RFID which uses radio frequency signals to operate gate readers. Each tag is valid only in the assigned garage. It will be mailed to the address provided during purchase.
Permits for the 19th and Vine garage do not need or receive the hang tag.
Permit holders for surface lots will not automatically receive a physical permit or sticker to display in the vehicle.
Request Permit Event Sticker
Surface lot permit holders and 19th and Vine Street garage permit holders can request a Permit Event Sticker. It verifies License Plate Recognition system participation for parking attendants and must be displayed for parking during major campus events. These events include state high school championships, home football games, and will apply to the Friday, September 20 football game. There is no additional cost for the sticker.
To receive the Permit Event Sticker, use your official UNL email account and send a request to Parking and Transit Services at unlpts@unl.edu; it will be mailed to your campus address.
Garage permit holders must display their garage hang tag for campus event parking. No Permit Event Sticker is needed.
