Parking permits are required on campus

Campus parking permits are required for all vehicles parked in designated areas of campus.
With the License Plate Recognition system, vehicle license plates serve as permit identification.
A garage hang tag accompanies garage parking permits and provides garage access. It will be mailed to your address provided during purchase. Permits for the 19th and Vine garage do not need or receive the hang tag.

ORDER YOUR PERMIT ONLINE.
• Permit options are detailed at https://parking.unl.edu/faculty-parking-options
• Make permit purchase online at https://parking.unl.edu/faculty-parking-permit-purchase-guide
• Provide, verify and update vehicle and license information during purchase process. Accurate license information serves as your actual permit.

Permit holders for surface lots will not automatically receive a physical permit or sticker to display in the vehicle.
With the exception of the 19th and Vine Street garage, a garage hang tag accompanies each garage parking permit. Garage permit hang tags contain RFID which uses radio frequency signals to operate gate readers. Each tag is valid only in the assigned garage. It will be mailed to the address provided during purchase.

Surface lot and 19th and Vine Street garage permit holders can request a Permit Event Sticker. It verifies License Plate Recognition system participation for parking attendants and must be displayed for parking during major campus events, including state high school championships and home football games. There is no additional cost for the sticker.

To receive the Permit Event Sticker, use your official UNL email account and send a request to Parking and Transit Services at unlpts@unl.edu
It will be mailed to your campus address.

With the exception of the 19th and Vine Street garage, all other garage permit holders do not need an event sticker, but should display their garage permit for campus event parking.

Citations and fines can be issued if your vehicle does not have a current permit and is inappropriately parked in designated campus areas.
