Upgrades to campus parking garages are complete and provide a new License Plate Recognition (LPR) system for improved access.
How the System Works:
• Garage permits are now linked to both your license plate and NCard. The LPR system scans your license plate at entry and exit. If your vehicle is registered, the gate will lift automatically.
• Only one vehicle may access campus parking at a time per permit.
• Make sure your vehicle information is up to date in the UNL Parking Portal https://unl.aimsparking.com/
Using the Garage Gates:
• Drive slowly as you approach the gate.
• For the best scan results, stop at the kiosk.
• If your license plate cannot be read or if your vehicle does not have a front license plate, scan your NCard at the kiosk for entry or exit.
Display your hang tag for identification and permit verification. It does not provide garage access.
Hourly parking is available at the Stadium Drive Garage, 14th & Avery Garage, and 17th & R Garage.
• The parking rate is $1.25 per hour (maximum $7.00 per day).
• Take a ticket at entry and pay by credit or debit card when exiting.
A phone payment option is also now available.
• Scan the QR Code on the ticket.
• Pay with credit, debit, or Apple Pay.
