The University of Nebraska Medical Center campus in Omaha has moved to a License Plate Recognition system for parking permits.
This change impacts UNL permits who need to visit the Omaha campus with a Reciprocal Parking Permit.
In the past, a hangtag identifying permit status was required.
With the new LPR system, permit holders from UNL do NOT need hangtags.
You only need to request your permit be added to the campus reciprocal list with an email from your official UNL email account to unlpts@unl.edu
PERMIT HOLDERS WHO HAVE ALREDY REQUESTED AND BEEN ADDED TO LIST DO NOT NEED TO TAKE ACTION.
YOUR PERMIT WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY INCLUDED IN THE LIST.
Hangtags are still required for visits to the UNK campus.
