Hometown: I am from Omaha, NE

Major: I am a dual major in Special and Elementary Education. Working with children has always been one of my passions and I cannot wait to do it for the rest of my life.

Year in school: I am a Senior.

Favorite Food: Hands down my favorite food is tacos!

Random fact about me: In my free time I like to knit for charity, friends and family. I have a lot of grandma swag going on as my friends would say.

Learned as a WHT scholar: I learned that it is essential in life to go after your dreams. There are teachers, staff, mentors, friends, and family all around you to motivate and help you become the best person you can be, not only for yourself but for everyone around you. Determination is contagious!

Loved about being a WHT scholar: One of the things I have loved most about being a WHT scholar were the friendships and connections with staff that I have made over the last three years at the university. I will continue to make those connections and friendships as I finish my last year and a half here at UNL.

Something I look forward to: Something I look forward to would be making my last impact with the WHT foundation. I have plans to form a knitting circle within the WHT community to help benefit the Lincoln community. Giving back is one of the greatest gifts we have to offer as human beings.

Where do I see myself in 10 years: In 10 years, I see myself in a classroom at a lower income school and (hopefully 2nd grade) absolutely loving what I am doing! I don't know if I will stay in Nebraska or be somewhere else in the country, but in 10 years I want to be improving and teaching young minds to be amazing, talented, and of course smart. They are our future after all!
