Great Plains Art Museum
12th and Q streets
The museum will be open extended hours on First Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. The main gallery features “Dry Times” by ceramic artist Jess Benjamin and “Drought Interpretations,” a guest-curated exhibit of drought-related works.

International Quilt Study Center & Museum

The i2Choir will perform at 5:30 p.m. i2Choir is a newly formed inclusive and intergenerational choral ensemble that has partnered with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music and International Quilt Study Center and Museum to provide music-making opportunities for individuals of all abilities.

“8th Annual UNL Staff Art Show” – The show includes a variety of fine arts
media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, watercolor,
photography and more. UNL staff employees create all the work in the exhibition.

Splinter Gallery at the Larsen Tractor Test & Power Museum
East Campus, Fair Street
This exhibit features 12 prints from the collection of Nebraskan Artist Craig Cassell who was a quadriplegic and drew using his mouth. The museum will be open from 4 - 6 p.m. for viewing. The exhibit will be on display through September.

University of Nebraska State Museum – Morrill Hall
14th and Vine Streets
“Mark Marcuson: An Artist’s Journey” presents the evolution of artistic talent of Nebraska painter, illustrator and muralist Mark Marcuson. Beginning with Marcuson’s childhood sketches, visitors will journey through Marcuson’s life as an artist and his career as a scientific illustrator mastering watercolor, acrylic, oil, pencil, and pen and ink among others.
