Congratulations to Yiqi who is co P-I on a proposal titled “Development of bioactive polymeric meshes to reduce complications of hernia repair surgery” that was funded by the Nebraska Research Initiative to the tune of $100K. Both of his project colleagues are faculty at UNMC. The review team cited the project’s interdisciplinarity and the excellence of its team, and the strong promise for future funding and potential commercialization.
