Matthew Pipkin will speak about mapping of nucleosomes

The School of Biological Sciences seminar series continues with a 3:30 p.m., April 12 lecture by Matthew Pipkin of the La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology. The talk, which is free and open to the public, is in Hamilton Hall, room 112.

Pipkin's topic is "High-Resolution Nucleosome Mapping During CD8+ Cytotoxic T Lymphocyte Differentiation." He will discuss a new method to do in vivo mapping of occupancy and positions of nucleosomes at unprecedented coverage and resolution, and using it to explore how nucleosomes are reorganized as naïve CD8 T cells differentiate into cytotoxic T lymphocytes.

The lecture is hosted by Deb Brown.
