John Hibbing and Kevin Smith, political science; and Mike Dodd, psychology; had their research mentioned in a Nov. 8 article discussing how Mitt Romney supporters were coping with their candidate’s electoral loss.

Brian Fuchs, climatologist at the National Drought Mitigation Center, was quoted in a Nov. 13 USA TODAY article comparing the current drought to the Dust Bowl Days of the 1930s. Earlier in November, his comments about Superstorm Sandy’s effects missing the drought-plagued Midwest were featured by The Associated Press and appeared in dozens of media outlets across the country.

Mark Svoboda, climatologist at the National Drought Mitigation Center, was quoted in a Nov. 30 Associated Press article about portions of Texas moving back into severe drought. The story appeared in dozens of media outlets across the country. He also discussed how drought has spread and intensified in the contiguous United States in a Nov. 29 article with Bloomberg News.
