A celebration for three grants totaling nearly $1.5 million is scheduled for 10 a.m., today at the Van Brunt Visitors Center. The event will be led by Chancellor Harvey Perlman and Prem Paul, vice chancellor for research and economic development.

The awards - from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities - will fund projects in the Center for Digital Research in the Humanities, UNL Libraries and University of Nebraska Press. The projects are designed to enhance digital research and education at UNL, expand the NU Press' offerings, and support programs for mentoring the next generation of digital humanities scholars.

The grant celebration is free and open to faculty, staff and students.
