Trip Forges Agreements Between UNL, Indian Universities, Industries
Agreements and partnerships forged during a recent trip to India should expand opportunities for UNL faculty and students and enhance the university’s international engagement, officials said.
UNL representatives led by Chancellor Harvey Perlman recently spent two-and-a-half weeks in India. They initiated or strengthened academic and research agreements with several universities and research organizations, discussed partnership opportunities and visited research parks. more...

UNL Students Selected for News21 Carnegie-Knight Fellowship
Three students in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications are participating in News21, a national journalism fellowship sponsored by the Carnegie and Knight foundations.
The students are Ford Clark of Adams, Courtnee Lowe of Lincoln and Astrid Munn of Scottsbluff. They join 90 students from 11 other universities who are enrolled in seminars this spring to prepare for a 10-week national reporting project in the summer. The goal of the fellowship is to produce in-depth news coverage on critical issues facing the nation and then experiment with innovative digital methods to distribute the news on multiple platforms. more....

Sheldon Presents 'Evolving Eden,' Showcase Exhibition in Lincoln PhotoFest
Sheldon Museum of Art at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln presents "Evolving Eden: Three Photographic Perspectives," an exhibition of works by artists Arno Minkkinen, Hans Eijkelboom and Edward Burtynsky. Through diverse viewpoints, these contemporary photographers explore our environment and the human effects on its changes.
The exhibition will be on view through May 31. "Evolving Eden" is the showcase exhibition in Lincoln PhotoFest, a communitywide celebration of photography at 20 galleries and museums across the city. Exhibitions on view in PhotoFest range from contemporary, cutting-edge works by local and national photographers to historical retrospectives.
