Software Grant to Boost ANDRILL's Research, Teaching, Outreach Efforts
A grant from Seismic Micro-Technology Inc. will enable the ANDRILL (Antarctic Geological Drilling) Science Management Office at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to offer more resources to the Antarctic geosciences community. The three-year, $727,000 grant provides ANDRILL with a software license for SMT's Kingdom Suite seismic processing and interpretation software.
"The software license will be used to allow us to act as a service support hub for seismic data storage, processing, modeling, interpretation, visualization and dissemination to and from all ANDRILL partner institutions and colleagues," said Steve Fischbein, senior research associate in the ANDRILL Science Management Office. "The software will be used for Antarctic geosciences research and training within the ANDRILL organization." more...
