Host of PBS' 'History Detectives' to Give Geske Lecture
Gwendolyn Wright

Gwendolyn Wright, professor of architecture at Columbia University and host of the PBS television series, "History Detectives," will deliver the next Geske Lecture at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Wright's lecture, "Frank Lloyd Wright's Progressive Suburbia" will be 7 p.m. Nov. 2 in the Sheldon Museum of Art's Ethel S. Abbott Auditorium, 12th and R streets. The lecture is free and open to the public. A reception will immediately follow the lecture in Sheldon's Great Hall. more...

Little Nooks from Great Books
'Little Nooks from Great Books' Miniature Rooms at Love Library

"Little Nooks from Great Books," the traveling exhibit of the Kruger Collection of Miniature Furnishings and Decorative Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will be on display at UNL's Love Library, through Dec. 17.

The exhibit features scenes from "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"; "Little Women"; "Little House on the Prairie"; "Peter Pan and Wendy"; "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" and "Felicity Learns a Lesson: A School Story." Specific scenes include the cabin interior from "Little House on the Prairie" and the Gryffindor common room from Harry Potter, among others. more...

Barking Water, The Visionmaker Film Festival Play at the Ross

UNL's Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center presents Barking Water and The Visionmaker Film Festival. Both Barking Water and the films of The Visionmaker Film Festival will show through Nov. 5.
