Great Plains Art Museum Hosts Two New Exhibits

The Great Plains Art Museum at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln presents both 'Searching for Real Nebraska' and the watercolors of Arthur Short Bull in exhibitions showing through March 28.

'Searching for Real Nebraska' presents the work of four UNL photojournalism students who traveled across the state in a camping trailer, keeping a web log of their experiences along the way. They met with Nebraskans in every scale of town, every stage of life, and every socio-economic bracket. more...

Short Bull's 'Places & Narratives' concentrates on areas and events of spiritual significance to the Lakota people. Being raised in a traditional family on the Pine Ridge Reservation gives Short Bull special insight into the history, culture and spirituality of the Lakotas. more...
