School of Natural Resources Hosts Namibia Photo Exhibit
"Beneath the Sand," a photo exhibit highlighting the people, wildlife and natural environment of Namibia, is on display in the second-floor lobby of Hardin Hall through Friday, January 29.
The photos were taken by Larkin Powell, professor of wildlife ecology at UNL's School of Natural Resources, his wife, Kelly, and son, Tristan. Powell spent 2009 on sabbatical as a Fulbright Scholar at Polytechnic of Namibia in Windhoek. Powell's research trips during the year were funded by UNL's Research Council, The Grassland Foundation, and the World Wildlife Fund. Powell also blogged about his experiences.
