University Theatre Presents "Tartuffe"
The Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film's University Theatre opens its Spring season with the Moliere comedy "Tartuffe," translated by Richard Wilbur and directed by professional guest director Robert Bonaventura on February 25 - 27 and March 3 - 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Howell Theatre. The production is designed by undergraduate Kevin Queen (scenic) as his Capstone production and graduate student Shannon Paulick (costumes) as her thesis production.
Tickets are $16; $14 faculty, staff and seniors; and $10 students. Tickets are available at the Lied Center Ticket Office, 301 North 12th Street, by calling 472-4747 or on-line at the UNL Theatre tickets website.

UNL Opera Presents Verdi's Rigoletto
The UNL School of Music presents UNL Opera, who will showcase 32 singers and a full orchestra of 32 members to bring Verdi's masterpiece Rigoletto to the stage. The opera will be performed at the Kimball Recital Hall today at noon, Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m., and Feb. 28 at 3:00 p.m.

Timeless Musical 'South Pacific' at Lied Feb. 25-27
The world-famous Broadway revival production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "South Pacific" comes to the Lied Center for Performing Arts in a Nebraska exclusive showing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 25, 26 and 27 at 7:30 p.m. with a matinee performance on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. Produced by Lincoln Center Theater, "South Pacific" swept the 2008 Tony Awards, winning seven honors, including Best Musical Revival and Best Director.
Tickets for this performance are $59 and $49. Students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and other participating colleges with a valid I.D., as well as youths age 18 or younger, may purchase tickets for half price. Call the Lied Ticket Office at (402) 472-4747 or (800) 432-3231 for ticket availability. Regular ticket office hours are 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays. Gigante, Oscar-Nominated Crazy Heart Play at the Ross
UNL's Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center presents Gigante and Crazy Heart. Both films will show through Feb. 25.
