UNL Research Fair Kicks Off With University-Industry Day
The eighth annual UNL Research Fair gets underway today with the first-ever University-Industry Day sponsored by NUtech Ventures. Jennie Hunter-Cevera of RTI International presents "Innovation to Commercialization: Is the Road Ever Straight and Short?" at 10:30 a.m. in the Nebraska Union auditorium and at 3:30 p.m. in the Hardin Hall auditorium on East Campus. Anthony Boccanfuso, executive director of The National Academies' University-Industry Demonstration project discusses "Why University-Industry Collaborations Matter" at 12:30 p.m. in the union.

'Black Ocean,' Artist William Wilson at Hillestad Textiles Gallery in April
"The Black Ocean: Europe-Africa-America," an exhibition of appliqued banner narratives created by French artist William Wilson that document the complicated history of the infamous "triangle trade," will be on display April 5-30 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Robert Hillestad Textiles Gallery.
The Paris-based multi-media artist will be on the UNL campus April 7-15, and will present a free public talk at 2 p.m. April 11 in Room 11 Home Economics Building, 35th Street north of East Campus Loop. A free, public reception in Wilson's honor will follow. more....
The Horse Boy, 35 Shots of Rum Play at the Ross
UNL's Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center presents The Horse Boy and 35 Shots of Rum. Both films will show through April 8.
