Spintronics Breakthrough Documented by UNL MRSEC Team
A team at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Materials Research Science Engineering Center made a leap forward in modern spintronics, potentially revolutionizing information technology through reduced power consumption, faster processing speed and improved function compared to today's electronics.
Led by physicists in the UNL MRSEC, professors Christian Binek and Peter Dowben, together with theorist Kirill Belashchenko and collaborators published "Robust isothermal electric control of exchange bias at room temperature." Mueller Planetarium Debuts 'Natural Selection' in U.S.
Mueller Planetarium is the first venue in the United States to show "Natural Selection," a fulldome format show that features the ideas of English naturalist Charles Darwin. The show is offered at 3 p.m. Wednesdays and Sundays, and 7 p.m. Thursdays.
Presented in immersive fulldome format, "Natural Selection" introduces family audiences to the ideas of English naturalist Charles Darwin. Audiences experience the thrill of scientific discovery with Darwin as they go on an adventurous voyage aboard the H.M.S. Beagle and explore the beauty of nature on the Galapagos Islands. UNL's Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center presents Mother And Child and The Secret In Their Eyes. The Secret In Their Eyes will show through July 1, while Mother And Child will screen through July 8.
