Keim Renovation on Track To LEED Rating
The Big Red Green Team in the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources is getting greener. The renovation of Keim Hall is on track to receive LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. UNL's Department of Agronomy and Horticulture and colleagues in grassland studies, Nebraska Forest Service and the USDA will move into the renovated hall this month.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council to provide a framework for identifying and implementing practical, measurable "green buildings." The Keim Hall renovation is expected to earn a silver or gold LEED rating. The LEED rating system offers three levels of green building -- silver, gold and platinum. more...
Lundberg's Textile Art 'Microcosms' Exhibition Opens at Hillestad July 12
Visitors can leave any preconceptions they might have about embroidery at the door of the Robert Hillestad Textiles Gallery when they arrive to view the magical stitched worlds created by Tom Lundberg. From July 12 through Sept. 3, Robert Hillestad Gallery at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is hosting the exhibition "Microcosms: The Stitched Textiles of Tom Lundberg."

Please Give; The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Play at the Ross
UNL's Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center presents Please Give and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo will show through July 15, while Please Give will screen through July 22.
