UNL's East Campus engineering programs will host the fifth annual "Incredible, Edible Car Competition" from 2-4:30 p.m., Dec. 7 at the Great Plains Room in the Nebraska East Union. Senior students will present their Capstone design projects and alums representing companies will be in attendance.

The cars compete in distance and durability as they roll down ramps. The constraints are the components, which must be edible, and their cost, which must be less than $10 per team. Teams have several weeks to design, brainstorm, shop, build stereotypes, test and tweak. After the competition, teams must eat their creations while the judges tally the score. more...
